These meals provide essential nutrients that support overall health and well-being, enabling individuals to focus on their personal goals and daily activities.

What you need to know about claiming meals on NDIS
In October 2024, the NDIA announced some important rule changes as part of a legislative update called Getting the NDIS Back on Track No.1, included in these changes are updated lists that outline what can and cannot be funded by the NDIS.
From 3rd October 2024 onwards, meals or food provided by fast-food services, takeaway outlets, or food delivery platforms like Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Menulog are not classified as 'NDIS supports' and cannot be claimed with your NDIS funds.
Instead, you need to use a meal delivery platform where the costs for food and ingredients are clearly separated from those for meal preparation and delivery, such as Nourishable or Meals for Mummas.
To access meal preparation services through your NDIS plan, you'll need to ensure that your plan includes the appropriate line items. Meal preparation can be covered under several support categories, which may include:
- Core Supports: This includes assistance with daily living activities, where meal preparation can be part of the support provided to help you manage everyday tasks.
- Line Item: Assistance with the Cost of the Preparation and Delivery of Meals (01_023_0120_1_1)
- Line Item: Assistance with Self-Care Activities (Code 01_011_0107_1_1)
2. Improved Daily Living: This category can cover services that enhance your ability to live independently, including meal preparation and planning.
- Line Item: Assistance with Decision Making, Daily Planning and Budgeting (Code 15_035_0106_1_3)
It's important to discuss your specific needs with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to ensure that your plan includes the necessary line items to cover meal preparation services.
If meal preparation is not currently included in your plan, you may need to provide supporting information to justify its inclusion as a reasonable and necessary support.
Yes, our meals can be customised to suit your dietary requirements. This does come at a small fee per menu item starting at $5.00/item. This will be included in your quote. This will only apply if you've selected meals that include ingredients that you need taken out or modified.
To receive a quote for our services, simply fill out our NDIS Quote Generator form. This tool is designed to provide you with a personalised quote based on your specific needs and requirements.
Once you've completed the form, click "Submit," and we'll email your quote within the next 48 hours, ready for submission to the NDIS for approval.
